1. From 2024, CCI and Tanzania Federation for the Urban Poor in Tanzania (Affiliates of SDI) we have been able to conduct projects around climate risks and Heat. We have collected Quantitative and Qualitative Data using Household Questionnaires to more than 500 respondents, conducted Group Discussion with Community and engaged in the participatory heat measurement using iButtons within informal settlements of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, East Africa. We worked closely with the World Bank, International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), Tanzania Federation for the Urban Poor, Local Government Office from Dar es Salaam City Council, Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) etc. On top of that, we have been able to engage the government agency such as Wami-Ruvu River Basin Authority and Tanzania Forestry Services (TFS) to help us to map soil type and botany species to one of the settlements called Kombo to implement some urban forestry strategies to as part of Nature Based Solution initiatives. We have also engaged CSO`s such as Forum for Climate Change (Forum CC), Haki Ardhi and NUGGET. These are links to some of the published, reports, blogs and articles on it.
