The DARAJA project, funded by IKI/GIZ, currently in Kombo Settlement. Recently, a community meeting was held to assess the impact of weather and climate change, particularly during the rainy and hot seasons since community are receiving weather information through SMS and notice board. This meeting provided invaluable insights into how the weather training and weather information has equipped community members to cope with weather challenges and take proactive adaptation measures.
During the community meeting, participants highlighted how the weather and climate change training provided by the DARAJA project has been instrumental in enhancing their resilience. Armed with knowledge and practical skills, residents shared how they have been better prepared to navigate the complexities of the rainy season and extreme heat.
Ensuring Targeted Communication through SMS.
