The final ACRC UPTAKE stakeholders workshop in Dar es Salaam was held on March 31, 2023 to present the key findings and Priority Complex Problems of the research from various sectors or domains.
The workshop aimed to improve the findings of the research and the PCP's. A guest of Honor representing Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from British High Commission in Tanzania Miss. Catherine Pye participated in the workshop, the ACRC representative from Nairobi Kenya working Partnership for African Social and Governance Research, Mr. Martin Atela together with key stakeholders who are the policy makers from government including Mayor of Temeke Municipality Hon. Abdallah Mtinika, ward councilors, researchers from Universities, community leaders from Sub-wards and wards, entrepreneurs societies such as VIBINDO, Urban Poor Federation Groups, Housing Cooperative Societies and NGO's representatives from Haki Ardhi, Habitat for Humanity and Frederick Engelbert Stiftung.
This research revolve main sectors or domains including the housing sector, the informal settlements sector, the neighborhood and district economic development sector, the structural transformation, city of systems and political settlement.
Lastly, researchers got an opportunity to reflect with stakeholders on the solutions regarding the Priority Complex Problems (PCP's) and researchers vows to consolidate their PCP's before next workshop and further stages of implementing the research.
